I feel proud to be part of this forum. I don't get to log on as often as I would like, but its always great fun to check in and read witty banter and drool over the finest basses. I feel very lucky to own a couple of them!
Congrats on 12000! I bought my first MM bass back in 1982 (a used '78 Stingray) and I'm really glad that you have kept the name alive. It was very hard finding one back then and it's hard to believe that a lot of people had not even heard of the brand in 1982. That is not an issue these days thanks to you.
In your honor (well not really but it fits here) I'm about to pick up a '95 Sterling. Looks like a '52 tele with the ash body, natural velvet finish, and black guard. Pure rock n roll.
The Sterling will join my '05 Bongo 4H. I've sold all my Fenders, a Carvin and a Reverend. EMBB basses are simply the best.
Thank you so much for adapting to the times and consistently addings great advances to your awesome basses.
12,000, that just amazing. Your presence here is truly appreciated. I have learned so much from your posts on EBMM's history and the music industry. Thank You
Wow congrats poppa!
I can attest to the amazing difference that this place has had on me. Just thinking back... Poppa you and your generous invitation to jacks party and subsequent bashes got me out of toowoomba and into the best years of my life so far. Sometimes I have to pinch myself when I consider that I have met the man who made the only bass I have ever wanted and never thought I'd own! Now I'm looking at studying!
Poppa your encouragement, wisdom and support has meant so much to me n to so many others. If I gush anymore my head may explode but I mean it all.
Look forward to many more posts xx
BP, I belong(ed) to some other mfr. forums (now I am all EBMM) but I can't tell you how nice it is that we out here in internet-land get to read and share with you as much as we do. Congrats and keep it up!
It's like watching your kids grow, 1 minute they are 2 years old and full of life and next they are 10 years old and questioning everything they see and hear.
