12 Fret Inlay on phasing out on older BFRs models?

Here's a thought, and question. Will all new Petrucci's get the new Pickups or just the JP13?

Those pickups are made to work with the preamp in the JP13. Unless the preamp on the JP13 makes its way onto the other guitars (or something else changes) the other models will continue to come with the CrunchLab/LiquiFire

They are custom-wound DiMarzio pickups that were specifically designed for the JP13, that's all the info we got at the NAMM Show.

I'm a big fan of neckplates being inscribed/engraved etc. . . ., there's just something really cool about them. However in theory, no one (live playing) ever seems them (which is such a bummer!)

I much prefer the Inlay, and I'm thankful I got my JP12 before it got phased out. Personally although it's not my thing, the backplate looks a little lackluster as the defining feature of a BFR. The inlay was classy and well thought out. Although I have nothing against dots or shields, I'll probably try to find an old JPXI 7 String to get the inlay whenever I'm in the market for a new one!

Not a fan of the inlays myself. I like simplicity.
