She should look into the sterling jps, maybe a birthday present!

+1 Eric, good call. Have a JP60D in SS on its way soon. The neck profile and playability is really really nice. It was one of those "oh man, this thing feels awesome, I must own it!" Moments.

I think the sterling quality blows the doors off say.. A mexican fender or an epiphone, they are all just great, the ax40s especially! I never tried the jps, but ive tried real jps and thought they were incredible works of art, but i never got on with the neck and body shape, I absolutley hate finished necks! Unless say a les paul, and im not even that big les paul fan!

While I do enjoy the oil/wax finish on MM guitars, my favorite neck currently is on my Armada. The finish doesn't bother me one bit. I'm a sucker for variety as long as the guitar plays nicely and sounds good, I'll rock it.

Oh ya , the Armada looks like an incrediblely made instrument. And on a guitar like that with a set neck its gotta be finished, the armada does have a set or neck through body right?

Awesome! That's the kind of thing that sometimes makes me want to sell all my guitars and just give it up. Sometimes, it makes me feel like there's still hope for me!
