I think I just typed in Derek Frigo on google and found this site. picture #3 of 8

I was probably at that show too. Chip was my friends neighbor growing up so we always went to the shows at the whale to support them. They had two shows and I'm sure I was at the all ages early show.

Derek was always cool to us and a great guitar player. ***RIP brother!***

sorry you guys can't find any namm 91 pictures. I'm sure they have to be in some magazine from that time.

The Thirsty Whale was something special back then. It was great place to see bands and interact with them. The ceiling was real low towards the back so the sound just stayed contained and perfect. I remember the Keanu Reeves looking guy with long black hair always carrying buckets of ice back and fourth. Everytime he'd walk by my friend and I would say, "It's not a game Bodi." or "I am an FBI agent." Paying homage to Point Break which was big at the time. :p

Yea, sorry to take over the thread with a walk down memory lane. For Midwesterners like us there was no better place to see your favorite band up close.

Hey Jim,

Give me the serial number and our little computer system here (HA! "little"...) might, just might, have that info buried in there, but our computer system was a lot different in 1991, so don't count on anything too much.

Hey BP, I actually got that guitar from Barbara Page (I never spoke to her, it went through a broker). There is NAMM paperwork in the case, but I was not sure if it was actually displayed at the NAMM show. It shows that it was the first purple EVH ever made, and the only purple one made for NAMM. I have a letter that Barbara wrote that states it was given to her from Eddie and Sterling (You!). It is like brand new, and it has the eye hooks on it that Ed used on his stage guitars. I assume he put those on there. Do you know much about the history of this guitar? I would love to know more about it. I know Richard very well, but I haven't spoke to him in a year. Thanks for responding to my post BP!

Thats the guitar. It is one of the first batch made the seventh one to be exact. Barbara Page is one of my least favorite people in the world. In my opinion she was also the least competent business manager I ever had the pleasure of doing business with.. I understand that she was fired under a cloud of suspicion and I hope it is true. Just rumor, you know. How pathetic is that she sold that gift? The bright side is that Im glad she sold it to you Jim.

PM me and tell me what she sold it to you for if you dont mind.
