Too many guitars, not enough arms to play them all...:)
For sale is a 1993 (12/29/93 manufacture date) Albert Lee in Pinkburst (the only color available at that time).
Standard tuners, 3 single-coil DiMarzio pickups, fixed bridge. Frets are in good condition, guitar plays great (was just set up by my guitar tech). Neck was cleaned and re-oiled/waxed a month ago. Includes a Fender molded case.
Body does show that it is 13-years old. There are some dings on the back and bottom, but they do not affect playablity at all. Overall I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
I can get you more detailed pictures if you are interested.
Asking $850 and I'll deliver it to you if you are in New England. Outside of that, shipping will be on top of that. I'll do PayPal or bank check Postal money order. Or cash of course!
Please ask any questions you might have.
Thanks for looking.

As I said, I've got too many guitars and not enough room in my house. This one has been in storage with a few others and it's just not right to keep it in the dark.
I'm sure someone can put it to good use. It is a pretty guitar, they picked a nice piece of wood that shows up through the finish.

If you look at his first post, he left his e-mail address. You may want to shoot him a line about that Al. Gorgeous one at that!

Folks,
Thanks for the warm reception! Can't wait for it to arrive! Hats off to Robberns@rcn who was most helpful and patient.
Could I ask a question of your guys? Can any one here give me a detailed breakdown of Albert Lee's equipment?
I believe he was using Music Man amps & Korg equip. but some at the NAMM Show stated that he was perhaps switching to Rivera or Fender amps. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Blessings!
PS - Does Music Man have a custom shop? Thanks.

Dude, congrats again and welcome. For Alberts equipment breakdown you might want to try his website, I have no idea.

Now the Custom shop question. In a nutshell EBMM doesn't have a Custom Shop persay. With the number of combinations that you can create every EBMM is a sort of a Custom shop creation.

Why do you ask??

Hope this helps, Glenn |B)

Big Al still uses music man amps. he uses rivera or fender when not available.

The custom shop is a good question and you will get some animated responses. search custom shop for a laugh

Jack (bovinehost) actually sells a t shirt with a quote from me that says

"a custom shop is for when your regular production sucks"

Hi guys,
I'm not computer savy so I think I may not have posted my last response before heading off to work the other day. Here goes...

Glenn - I'm expecting a big tax return and after trying the AL at the NAMM Show
had begun the plans for ordering one. I later spotted an old Ebay auction with an AL in dark Gun Metal Mettalic, P-90s, and a black tort.-like pickguard (I don't the official MM names yet). Yikes! Since I don't spot these models on a regular basis I thought about having one built. Hence the custom shop question. Then, discovering this forum, the "pinkburst" for sale, and the rest is history... Big Poppa, thanks for your words. They bring a good perspective.

Questions for you folks.
(1) Did Albert Lee have a hand in redesigning his model with P-90s and does he
perform with this version?

(2) Did the earliest version of this guitar (AXIS?) look exactly the same before the name change? Was "pinkburst" the only color?

(3) Has any one AB'd the two models? I was wondering about the twang factor with P-90s (Though this NOT the only sound I'm interested in!).
You guys are great! Thanks!
