Hi gang, I hate to do it, but I have decided to sell my sport so I can finance another guitar. This sport has been modified, so here it goes, if anyone is interested.
The stock pickups have been replaced with Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots in the single coil slots and a Lindy Fralin "Unucker in the bridge. The unbucker is an 8K model and is unevenly wound with 3K on one bobbin and 5K on the other-which is the tap coil. The uneven winding allows the 5K coil to sound like a true single coil pickup and is perfectly balanced with the Vintage Hots in the other positions. The silent circuit has also been removed.
The tone pot has been removed and a micro switch installed in it's place. This switch is used to activate the coil tap function of the Unbucker.
The 10" radius has been flattened slightly to a 12" radius. This allows bending without "fretting out" while maintaining a low action.
I have both the original single coil pickups as well as the silent circuit which will be included with the guitar. The case is the origianl old style and is in very good shape.
The guitar plays and sounds great and has normal wear and tear for its age. If interested, I can take more close up pictures for you to look at. Thanks, Kevin
