Hey all,

bought my first ball yesterday, and I can't be more thrilled :). It's a stunning '93 Silo with Floyd and rosewood fingerboard in cherryburst. I bought it from forum-member Steve5150.

I'm Martijn from the Netherlands, 28 years old and in my final year of medical school. I'm currently doing my residencies in a hospital here.

Have been playing guitar since I was 8 or 9. Played in bands since 13 and actually at one point had a record deal with one of them. Unfortunately the band crashed a couple of months after signing...

Two years ago I got sick and sold literally every piece of gear I had. Amps, guitars, effects, the whole deal. This summer a friend of mine bought a very nice cherry sunburst 93 Silo with floyd and a maple neck... Picked it up and couldn't believe that I missed out on EBMM's all those years. I had almost everything through the years: strats, gibsons, prs, esp, etc. None of of them played like the neck on that Silo. Total envy, but it ignited the will to play again. Bought a Roland VG-99 and loaned a beat up japanese strat from a friend.

And then I spotted the sister to my bud's guitar. Only difference is the rosewood board. Scraped every last penny together and bought it. And boy what a treat. Playability is second to none, workmanship outstanding:

Spectacular condition for a 15 year old guitar. One scratch in the clearcoat under the upper horn, that's it.

Will probably make one mod in the future and that's the installment of the new GraphTech Floyd Rose with piezo and MIDI-capabillities. When that's in, it'll be the ultimate guitar in playability and versatility imaginable
