Greetings.

I'd been trying out the SUB1 in my local GC for the better part of a month. I just picked one up via ebay at a VERY good price, and man, this guitar is impressive. Great feel (although I will be switching to 9's), and the trem stays in ABSOLUTE tune. I can't tell you how impressed I am with that. I've got PRS' which aren't as true tune wise.

The pickups, while good (actually I like the neck more than the bridge), will probably replaced by a set of duncans or PRS pickups I have here. These little customizations aside, this guitar really exudes quality. It's like a well kept secret, and I'm glad I opened my eyes.

I'm sure it won't be my only one.

Cool axe man. Like I always said and still believe, you will not be limited to just one. You will buy more...hence the addiction.

BTW....I need to re-write my patent on my saying...you guys are now dancing around it and I'm not getting paid. Wife and daughter need shoes people.... ;)

Thanks all. I've got an HFS/VB set I just picked up for a pretty sweet price. They're just sitting around, so time to fire up the iron. I also have a duncan custom/jazz set sitting in another guitar that I don't use much that I could transplant. I'm thinking I'll try the PRS pups first.

Actually, I'm not sure if I need to touch the neck pickup - sounds good to me. I just need a little "more" from the bridge pickup, I think. More than likely, once I've lifted the pickguard, I'll replace them both.

I've got a set of DII's in my Custom 22 - I love 'em. Not too hot, but not weak at all - very even sounding. Woody.

Yes. I've learned that guitars are like chips - can't eat, 'er, have just one. I've been down this path with my PRS'. I've got 4 - 2 US, 2 SE's. ...and my strats...

I suddenly find myself typing "musicman" a whole hell of alot in ebay. Once that happens, it's only a matter of time ....

It's the endless tone quest.... here it goes again...
