Quick thread to say yesterday I tried one of the new 2 band EQ offer basses in the UK. I had a full test of it instead of a just a fast noodle.
All day id been trying out basses, and this includes differing brands.
The Stingray 2 band was the last bass I tested.
Stunning. I cannot wait to get a few EBMMs back in my collection. I sold two to get two, so to speak. But Ive really missed them.
The 2 Band WAS a little different. I like both now. The 2 band was warmer and punchier, but I do like the mid complexity on the 3, so my new plan is to order another Ray 4H now...2 band. Might get one of the more expensive ones, the Burst/Black Plate/Rosewood models with a hardcase.
Thanks EBMM Team and BP. As much as the Ray is popular instrument, and quite 'common', the sound/build quality/paint work/neck push them well above instruments that are more expensive. I think this is why once you own one, you are hooked.
Yep, im boring and I want 3 Rays and not a different model, but once Im onto a good thing, I like to stick with it.
Conclusion? 2 band EQ rocks.
