2 band EQ Vs. 3 band EQ...?

I've never gone into a local store and seen a 2 band stringray on the wall!

I have 2 p-basses and an HH . . also HAD a HS.

IMO, the HH approaches the p-bass thing better

Position 4 & some EQ'ing comes close..

if your into a the p bass then you'd like the 2 band. 2 band sound awsome in punk/industrail/goth music. if you doing other styles the 3 band is well worth it.

I have a 3-bd eq SR and I usually do not change the sound with the eq but on the amp and leave all the knobs turned up in full position... would it be a great audible difference between the 3-bd and the 2-bd? I am goint to sell my current bass and will purchase a new one in natural finish. Unfortunately, I cannot afford to keep my old SR, however, I was wondering if a 2-bd should also do the job, since it would save me 100 bucks... I must admit that I like a punch in the mids, so I am not sure which one fits me better.. hope you guys can help!! :-)

cheers, Ben
