seri/par modes and coil splitting are
typical in bassland, but most MMs do
remain stock.
Since it's a way early MM it was prolly
modded when it was nearly new, cuz
the EBMM reputation was still a thing
of the future, and so an SR was pretty
much seen as simply another variety
of Fender bass ... not unreasonable at
the time.
Anywho, I'd bet the farm that those
two switches are seri/par modes and
coil splitting. Acoarst, I don't actually
have a farm ....
Thanks much! That makes sense, so it sounds like a forward thinking idea for the time. I remember someone with an older Stingray telling me that they wish they had that option added.
