I had just posted a question about buying a new Axis. I also came across a used one and though I will probably by a new one a used is worth a consideration. This particular one is a 2006 sunburst with the matching head stock and the tremlo. It has a finish crack only on the back of the neck at the nut screws. It runs width wise of the neck. It runs to one of the screws between it then a little on the other side of the second screw. Sort of like it just runs right through it on the finish only. It also has a low E saddle that has been replaced with one that is slightly bigger than the original. I already called and they no longer make a replacement saddle for this model. My question is in general if all else is good (sound and playability) on a guitar like this what would you guys consider the value is? The person is willing to negotiate but has it listed for $1000. Would you say since that could be indicative of potential abuse I should not even consider it? Just seeing what everyones opinion is on this.

That's very high for what it sounds like.

Check out Guitar Center's used section online. Or call Pete DuBaldo and ask him what he's got....even new. I bought mine from him originally and got a great deal. It was already in stock.
