I was just looking through the 20th Anniversary SR case thread, and it got me thinking--Is EB/MM going to continue their streak of amazing cases for the 2007 offerings?

Or, is it a secret?

Actually I'd prefer the stock SKB-type case for the 07 LE that I'm bound to order.

I've had fancy tweed luggage-type cases, and I'll take that tough plastic SOB any day of the week.

To me, a case is there to take the abuse so the bass won't have to. I'd rather not have a case I need to baby.

+1! I thought the 2005 Limited BC case was the coolest case that ever came with any bass....but it never saw the light of day because it was soooo nice I did not want to mess it up!! LOL!

Peace,

No kidding. I keep the case for my 30th in the box it came in, and put the bass in one of those SKB cases that look like the stock MM ones.

We have picked out the 2007 LE and SR5 20th cases and should get some samples this week. They should look sweet! We are working on something really cool for the BFR case.

That's why hard and soft cases are available after market!

Awesome. So, has the first bass BFR been decided yet?

I agree about the ltd edition cases, too. If you don't want to take it to a gig, use a different case. I don't take cases to gigs, period. But, when I do order a ltd ed, i appreciate the thought that goes into what have always been dynomite additions to any limited edition.

Not to pee in your cornflakes, but I doubt the first BFR bass is going to be a dead ringer (red stain over mahogany with a birdseye neck) for the 30th Anniversary SR. I think BP's reaction would be something like, "Been there, done that, Knucklehead. Look forward, not back. Still tastes exactly like club soda."

I've been wrong before, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
