However, It's just arrived my first ball, a fully loaded JP6 in pearl redburst colour

that's the same problem I ran into when trying to add a coil tap to my JP... I would have done it otherwise!

Is there a particular reason why the bar of the D-sonic is black on the guitars with gold hardware ?

I think it would look better if the D-sonic is gold too. Just my thought

I think it's only for an asthetical reason, otherwise it would be the only chrome thing in all the guitar.

but yeah, it would be better gold.

I don't either, and I don't like gold either.....but there's just something about this colour that really intrigues me.
When's the cutoff date to order????
