Post your questions here!

My questions:

- Does the JP Baritone ship in a larger case to accommodate its larger size?
- How much heavier is the instrument than the normal BFR? than the basswood JP?
- Does the baritone ship with gauge 13,17,24p,36,48,66 and tuned in A?

Awesome, thanks!

No questions. Just wanted to say thanks for offering the choice of quilt or flame on the BFR instruments. You folks are the best. Man, that BFR Albert Lee is another piece of art. GAS!

Limited Edition 2008

1) The color is named Sequoia Gold. It will come with a matte 5 ply black and gold pg, 2008 LE inlay at the 12th fret, and will come with a special G&G case. The exterior is lizard back and the interior is golden.

2) It will be avaible on all models except the y2d. Piezo is only available on the Petrucci model.

3) Matching and non-matching headstocks are available.

4) You may order it with a maple or rosewood fingerboard.

Does this mean we can order a Petrucci with a MAPLE BOARD?!?!?! That would be amazing! :)

This is a good thread. I am really looking forward to the official pics, ALs one especially, as promised.

Here's a dumb question for the ranks. Can the BFR JP Bari be ordered with a piezo or is that not a good idea for such low frequencies? Also, can the JP Bari's be ordered without the JP inlays? Thanks. This could be a bankrupter. :)

im so happy that you can now choose flame or quilt.. that was one of the factors holding me back from buying one. shall be ordering 2 BFR JP's later this year (a 7 in Purple and a 6 in Tobacco :D ) and maybe a LE08 JP6... but will have to see how funds go this year..

Thanks EBMM you have re-ignited my passion for playing again (went through a 'lazy' period) :)

How about a clear coated Natural headstock for an LE AL with a rosewood fingerboard??

I really dig that look of my Y2D and hope it is achieveable on the new AL. Folks from EBMM, I am waiting for your answer!! :D

I think this only applies to the 2008 LE, not to the other JP's. It's just my guess though.

right, but in either case... does this mean that you can order a 2008 LE JP with a maple board?

(i'm also real interested to hear if this is the case)

I guess all the 2008 LE's, including the 2008 LE JP, have the option "maple / rosewood"

I don't think they would do it for the JP because John doesn't play JP's with a maple neck and wouldn't putting a maple on it make it "non-signature"

just a thought.

However, they are offering AL LEs with rosewood fingerboards, while Albert (as far as I know) only plays maple board guitars and rosewood isn't available on the regular AL Signatures.

I guess we will have to wait for a dealer (hey Pete!) or BP himself to answer this one.
