Also Brandt Dudley and Scotty were making me a bass that was a suprise for my birthday in January...An Albert Lee one off bass....I wasnt supposed to know about it but one of the engineers puts i on the engineering priotity/status that I get weekly...wouldnt you guys love a peek at that list.....

Awesome! I can’t wait to see how it turns out.

Now that we know it’s not and AL bass can we have another hint?

Does it consist of an already existing body shape? Or is it a brand new body design?

I now really want an al shaped bass. Can people stop speculating, my imaginary GAS is through the roof.

...some photoshopped ideas would be cool though. ;)

EDIT: Here's something i slapped together in a couple of minutes...

Earthwood.

if not the passive 3 single Sterling.....

I think the bass will be a white Bongo with Seymour Duncan pickups and an Aguilar preamp.

ya just had to didn't you, ya just had to

:p

hmmmmm, aside from the "passive" or possibly all single coil thing, I'd think one of the biggest departures (at least for basses) would be a set neck or neck through construction but I really don't see the market swingin' that way OR EBMM swingin' that way either (but would be quite a departure)

so I'd have to say my 2 cents are on either the acoustic or passive solidbodies trains of thought (albeit Fisher Price trains) :D

Can't wait to see what the new things are :) I was born in 1984, so any commemorative model will be high on my shopping list!

Would love to see that AL bass too! I love the styling and would buy a bass version in a heartbeat :D

I have a credit card and am ready today to throw down on an Albert Lee bass. I started this tread hoping for a hint. Didn't think it would blow up quite like it did. JOSH
