I have a 2011 Silhouette Special with maple neck and rosewood fretboard. The neck has a slight clockwise twist when viewing from the heel.

Proper relief on the bass side yields excess fret buzz on the treble side. Conversely, proper relief on the treble side yields excess relief on the bass side.

With careful tweaking of the truss rod and bridge saddle height, I am able to achieve somewhat decent playability, but there is always a minor element of compromise. It has been a few years since I first noticed the twist and fortunately it does not seem to be getting any worse over time.

I had this happen to one of my necks. I sent just the neck to the factory and they planed the neck and re-fret it. A superb job at a bargain price. Call customer service and hopefully they can help you.

Yep. Their bench rates are very reasonable. Let them help you.

(I just got my 25th back, had a hump in the fretboard ... now plays better than it did new.)
