2011 Spud's Annual Christmas Bash
Hi to everybody out there.

We've had a few on line get togethers over the years (aka Spud's Xmas Bash) and I'd love to "host" one again this year. In previous years I've been able to give away a few freebies/goody bags such as signed posters/artist plectrums/hats etc but due to there being a cut back on the major exhibitions in the UK this year - the goody bag cupboard is looking bare - but hey there will be a few little somethings to give away!

So, as in previous years as most of us are around and about on Christmas Eve and not gigging/practicing
I intend to host it starting at 9:00 (21:00) Greenwich Meantime on Dec 24th.

Pop by and say hello - talk balls - post pics - & share some of the kindness and camaraderie around here.

We usually get the Euros kicking off then the US guys pop in - leaving it to the Aussies to clear the place up.

Post any questions here and I'll get a reply back usually on the same day.

Merry Christmas.

there is a set of regular slinky bass strings as a price for the bassplayer with the funniest story (preferably involving and shaming a guitar player, but a drummer will do too) :D

the community will decide which story rules, even if the winner dont have a bass to put the strings on ;)

see ya there!

come to think of it the guitarplayers should have a consolation price.. just for being tormented by bass players :)

so ill toss in a string winder tool that is really nice. its made in sweden and it is the best ive come by ever. it doesnt wobble when you use it, there is little friction in the handle and it fits every guitar peghead type very well.
i had one on my workbench for 5 years and it was the most guarded item on that bench! you could borrow my file set or radius block because i knew where to find those again if they were lost, but the stringwinder was off limit. i had no idea of where i could get a new one, and loosing it was not an option :)

so when i finally managed to find a distributor i bought a whole bunch of them. i have 2 left, one for me and one for you? :)
