Question. Some of these Neptune blue basses have a lighter blue, almost Aqua color. Some look more navy blue. Does the color vary with the base wood or are the pics I'm looking at not well color calibrated? I like the navy coloring, not so much the Aqua.

when I opened mine up, I was initially disappointed because the teal was midnight dark and not fancy like some of the iridescent ones on here. I realize that the flash on the camera makes them pop but in person, mine is subtle but very elegant

Congratulations - that's fabulous.

The neck on my Sabre is as stripey but doesn't have the level of colour contrast of Bass Tractor's and Joebar's Stingrays or Sexy666's Bongo. It's a little more subtle but does come to life more in bright light.

I think the body on mine is one piece (judging by the grain on the sides and ends) - anyone else got a view on their's? And still no Sterlings or Reflexes???

I've been meaning to check mine for a seam but every time I pick it up I can't help but start playing it immediately.

My pdn Bongo 5HH finally came in, Looks great, but the neck looks really dark, quite a bit different from what I have been seeing around here, was expecting something a bit lighter. Sounds and plays great though, I'll put it through its paces this weekend with some gigs and some session work in the studio.

looks great! nice wood grain.

Imo, the neptune body color would go better with a lighter maple wood color, more contrast.
Still they look superb, roasted necks are great. My 2012 PDN Honey roasted Bongo has one too and it has the perfect feel to it.

Tbd; Ben Bond - those basses are fabulous - congratulations. Quarter sawn neck on one of them also!!

The neptune blue colour really lights up under brighter light - it's a very cool effect.

Keep the pics coming guys - can't have too many neptune blue pics - I make it we're missing a Big Al, a Sterling and a Reflex at the moment. Anyone seen any?
