ok calm down remember we are setting up for the largest show in america.....WE are trying to give you heads up please have a little patience....we are showing an artisan version with semi gloss and several with glossy necks and one sort of tele color with single ply black pg that has a new mystery finish that feels nearly unfinished....

They have in credible access and they sound very different the two bands probably are the strongest....seriously punchy tight no dead spots...crazy

WOW! Now you're REALLY piqued my interest. I hope you mean that this finish will be on the neck correct?

Thanks BP for filling in some blanks.

Sorry guys, ...but NT is not my cup of tea since I had a bad experience with my previous expensive Warwick Streamer Stage 1 Pro bass Made in W. Germany in 1990.

Well, full matte finish, body, neck and all could be very cool too.

And why not go all the way with a new model and soften or fully round the triangular 'edges' off the upper and lower horns and which would make beautifully flowing body shape.

The most perfect platform for a DD3 model I think...

These look super cool. Neck through has never been my thing, but I'm happy for people who are excited about it. I bet the low B is even more monstrous.

I didn't see the updated product pages here, so:

Now, if you do a neck through hollow body Bongo..... :D

Since the Majesty guitar I thought that some day NT basses will be available, never thought that soon...and never imagine that it will be on Stingrays, my guess was on Bongos.
Anyway, the pictures looks really great...hope to try one some time soon.

I would have thought that the Bongo would have been the trend setter also.

I'm guessing that the reason for the introduction of this neck through design is the elimination of dead spots and the - yeah, I'm gonna say it - the "weak G" issue? Neck through vs. bolt on neck has been debated for years - which is better? Take a builder like Mike Tobias - his first designs were all neck through - now they're all bolt on. Which is better? There probably is no answer - they both sound different and it boils down to personal taste I suppose....

Weak G, if it exists, is wood piece and geometry. Plenty neck-through instruments have dead spots. And unlike with bolt-on there isn't anything you can do about it.

I'm glad to see Music Man do this addition. I'm not personally a big fan of neck through basses but I know a lot of folks are so it opens up the market for them to have a great Music Man too. The one thing I do wish Music Man would do though is offer a roasted neck as an option on any guitar or bass they make. I absolutely love roasted necks.
