The guitar went out to the Travis Larson Band...I will be at their CD release party tomorrow, and will try to get some pics. It is pretty much the same electronics as the piezo Super Sport, but the 5 position switch is replaced by a 3 way toggle. It sounds amazing like all the 20th's. The combonation of woods on this thing makes for the best sounding guitar we make(IMO) The engineers nailed it as far as I am concerned.

What's interesting about the combination of woods is that they put together 3 woods that I think are the ultimate woods for solid-body guitars. There's the Mahogany/Maple combo, which is just fantastic. Then, there's alder. I just love alder. Then, boom two great tastes that taste great together, like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. I can't believe that the concept was so simple. I wonder if EBMM buried the recipe deep under one of their facilities so no competitors could get to it.

As a JP owner, I have to admit, though, I didn't think I'd ever buy basswood again untl I played EBMMs. :D

That's good news, even tho I dont have piezo one on order.....but I compensated by ordering an ASS with one :D!!!

So the FIRST piezo 20th Silo that rolled out is going to Travis Larson??? That's freakin AWESOME!! I love his playing and his band....definatly another Morse lover and has a Morse feel, but of course makes his music his own.

Jon, did Travis request one of those? How does he like it if he played? I didnt know he had another album comin out. That's great! I'll get that one as well. I have all 3 of his :).

Could one of you guys gimme an estimate of when a 20th Silo could possibly be done if it was ordered in the beginning of June? I hope it will be in October!!!

I don't know about when the regular production piezos will hit the streets, but rest assured, they are awesome, just like the non piezo 20ths.

Travis did want the piezo version. He called me last night, and he is going to play the new axe tomorrow for a few songs, but he has to get used to the new guitar. He has been playing JP's for years and it will take a bit of getting used to. The new CD is called Rate of Change, and it rocks. There is a harder edge on the guitar, Jennifer is simply amazing on the bass, and Dale rocks as usual. There are sound clips of the new CD on the website www.travislarsonband.com Check it out!
