I think i read here somewhere that they are gonna be using a new wiring for the 2 pickups basses, something like paralell, series and then the rest of the regular options.

They are all wired in parallel.

Position 1 is pointed towards the bridge.

SINGLE H:

1) Standard Parallel
2) New Series Mode (Killer!)
3) Old Series

DOUBLE H

1) Bridge H
2) Outside coils
3) All Coils
4) Inside Coils
5) Neck H

HUMBUCKER SINGLE:

1) Bridge H
2) Old Series
3) All Coils
4) Inside coils (2 & 3)
5) Neck single coil

The single coil has neodymium magnets. Its not the same as the Bongo single coil though.

Is that gonna be standard wiring for SR5's from now on or just for the 20th model?
BTW i know alnico pups are just for the 20th, but that would be a nice option.

The Single Pickup is wired differently, not sure what Dudley did but I can tell you, I have not heard a better sounding 5 in my life then what i heard on the single Pickup 20TH Ann. 5.

I'm an alnico Guy so for me this was the 5, The 2 Pickup 20TH sounded incredible too but I favored the single for my Taste.

Until our backorder hits Jan 01, 2008. You probably only have a month or two if you want to special order one.

Thanks for your answer, Dargin, but I'm a bit confused by it. Do I have till Jan 01 2008 or do I have just two months from now?

Sorry that I'm confused, or that I sound dumb, but English is not my native tongue...
