Norn didn't you order an upgrade top on your Y2D? Axis, Y2d< and 20th all have the option to get a "10" top and you can select whether you recieve flame or quilt.
Who's Norn?;) Sometimes I just gotta be me.

On the Y2D, yes. On the Axis, no. I never even wanted an axis until I saw the top on that one. Stressing over whether or not I would love the y2d's top caused the delay on placing my order.

So the 20th anniv silo will have a custom neck plate. Will upgrade tops on the 20th anniv silo have a "custom made" stamp plate in addition to the special plate that's already on there?

Even though I have no interest in buying a Paul Reed Smith, the only thing I check for is whether or not they have a "10" marking on the headstock. Even then I think the subjective grading for figured maple to be questionable. What is the grading criteria? I was hoping to avoid all that.

The Axis and Y2D are production models. This is a Limited Edition. Frankly I was looking forward to seeing if my was going to be a flame or quilt. Kinda like is it a boy or a girl. Since this is a Limited Edition Anniversary Model they should all be nice.

Thank You for allowing me the time and place (forum) to voice my opinion.

The other reason is that I am a tight wad. But this is my present to me and the guitar I want. I don't care what it costs. I'll call to get my order changed.

Argggh!
I can't get this guitar off my mind!!!
The fact that it's obviously only availble for a limited time creates a lot of pressure.
I wish I could try one to see if I like the sound better than the H-S-H combination! :cool:

Do we even know what the switching scheme is? Is the center position selecting both H's ala Axis or is it picking a coil of of each ala JP? If it's JP flavor then that probably has a nice spank to it...

<Rubbing salt>

20th's come around only once, Sil's are forever..:cool:

I wondered that too. From Dargin's description, it doesn't sound like the switch splits the coils. But that would be an easy mod- just get the JP toggle sw from MM (4PDT) and wire it in.
