WOW!!! I cant believe I am seeing it finally!!! This thing looks, sooooo...... I dunno, I dont have any words. It's just wonderful and so different! IT looks like a mix of ALL the EBMM guitars fused together! More like the Morse model with Silo and Axis. The neck looks like it is set into the body VERY deep. And what PUPs are on it??? That IS a 3 way switch right? Damn, this thing looks more than I expected and different. I am just overwhelmed with this thing and dont know exactly what to say about, so I''ll stop and just say: WOW!!!!

Wow, look at that. Gorgeous.

I'll buy one if I can get it with a trem.

Glad to hear you guys dig the new Silhouette 20th Anniversary model. And just think....you ain't heard nothin' yet!!! Here are a couple of specs....

The body is Alder topped with a 3 ply black/white/black veneer and a maple top (available in standard and trem). The 24 fret birdseye neck will come with your choice of rosewood or maple. The paint on these guitars is our new trans Caramel Burst color, and we rear mounted the controls so that you can enjoy the beautiful woods to the fullest.

As far as electronics go, the models will have 2 custom DiMarzio humbuckers with 500k volume and tone pots, and a .022 uF tone capacitor. You will notice these are chrome covered pickups with our new Music Man rings. I think you will find these rings to be not only aesthetically pleasing, but VERY functional as well. To control these pickups, we have a 3 way toggle switch that allows you to select the bridge, neck+bridge, or neck pickup(s).

It was quite a challenge coming up with the final version of this instrument, but hopefully you will find in pays it's respects to the original Silhouette, while providing something new and exciting as well.

And by the way......these things are tone MONSTERS whether you play clean or dirty!

That looks mighty fine! I like how they're flat round the top (where the horns are) but the rest of the body is contoured.

Very, very nice...

I love the color, and the black/white/black veneer is really sharp looking.

Thanks for the info!!!

Can there be some more information about the pups? Like what models do they resemble, or what kind of output they have. Also, just wondering if it will be available in some other color? Probably not from my own common sense, but just curious. Are the dimensions the same as the original Silhouette? Meaning the body and how far the neck is set into the body, because for some reason it looks like the neck is set much deeper and the pups are much closer together. I am beving curious more than I have to, concerning all the details we got, so if this is not proper, ommit this completely and I will be fine just the way I am with what was given. :D

COOL!!
Thank you very much Dargin
Sorry, my head just exploded. Let me get a paper towel.
I like that it is radiused as opposed to the bevel cuts. True a Silo is bevel cut but something about the protos I saw made me like the radius better. Also the 20th anniv stingrays were radiused for their tops so its true to form. I also love how the maple tops are bent for the right arm rest.
How do you do that?
I love the pickup covers. Dudley said something about the type of pups but I was so excited and trying to not let Luke smash my camera into one, that I forgot what Dudley said. But it was cool.
The logo on the headstock brought a tear to my eye. OMG it's really real
The thing I remember the most is that the prototype(s) I played already felt like and old friend. I knew this is the guitar for me.

I did hear that the piezo trem will be available!

Questions that I hope Drew will answer when he fills in some specs.
What are the pups?
Everybody wants to know.Check
Is the matching headstock standard or an option?
Please make it standard
Are upgrade tops an option?
Please say no. Just make them all nice
What is the name of the color?
The finish is beautiful. Check
What did you decide for the body wood under the maple?
BP and I were in agreement on this one.And we still are.

Foggy,
Are you thinking that the decision on which EBMM to get is a pant-load easier now. This is the one for you. Just put $100 down and pay the rest upon delivery. I make no further comment.

Is that Carmel as in Carmel California, or Caramel as in the delicious sugary candy?

I'm glad there's new stuff but I'm not lovin' that. Played a sweet Luke today at Royal Music in NY and will probably go back and buy it.

I've got some questions....;)
-Who is it that keeps asking more questions?
-What is it that makes you want to keep asking more questions?
-When is it that you are going to keep asking more questions?
-Where are you going to keep asking more questions?
-How can you keep asking more questions?
-Why is it that you keep asking more questions?

Obviously (I hope), I am teasing you all, but how about a breath, then a sigh of relief knowing that soon, you can let the instrument answer all the questions you will ever have?

Also, with regards to the pickups, they sound just like....DAMN! My keyboard just ran out of ink!! :D

I just went back and looked at the pictures again.
Note to self: Buy more paper towels
WOW!!!!!!!!!

Thank You!

Thank You!

Thank You!
I'm feeling the love from Big Poppa and his family.
This is the coolest guitar I have ever seen. This blows away everything else I have ever seen. EBMM or not! I'm thinking about changing my mind on the Lim Ed and just ordering two of these from NAMM. Then ordering the Lim Ed later of course.

Trans Carmel is my new favorite color.

Is the optional trem going to be the MM Vintage design, or something along the lines of a Petrucci trem or Floyd?

Looks simply amazing.
