I do bleeb the only time the purchase of a used P-Bass is understandable is..... ummmm...
well I can't really think of any time that it'd be a good thing to do? :D :D

now, a JBass OR a P with a J neck and a J bridge pup, that'd be ok but even then, you had better have some intentions of cranking out lines like Chuck R. or St.James! :p

Of course I have played P basses. I love P basses. They don't compare favourably to the Bongo, tough, so I don't play them anymore.
The ambivalency was to be understood form the pow that you first said something like "I wish there was a EBMM custom shop" and then say that with all the models and options it gets confusing.
So, you misunderstand. I didn't flick the defense switch, but merely pointed out that if you feel the EBMM palette of bass models to be big and confusing, F*nd*r is like a 100 times worse.

All is well, now buy a Bongo!
Bongo
Bongo
Bongo
Bongo
Bongo
Bongo
Bongo
Bongo

I got you the first time... I think you misunderstand my reply.
Take a minute to analize it
it's just my twisted sense of humor I guess...

Heh.. that was a good one Mr. Psychicpet.
Now, how about a P Bass with a J neck and a J bridge pup and a J neck pup and a J body?

How could a SR5 be any better than the one I already have? Maybe two pups? They do that now. I wouldn't expect to see drastic changes in how things work about a 20th anniv. SR5.

I love this....There hasn't been one word from EB/MM about a 20th SR5, and you guys are arguing already about what it should be....I understand BP's statement a while back about a camel being a horse designed by comitee:p

Dear jongitarz,

You're the only one on this thread that actually knows for 100% that there's going to be a 20'th ann. SR5. Don't you :)

Check your calendar.
We know you're a high member of the SR5 20'th ann. comitee.

Of course there will be a 20th Anniversary Stingray 5. How not? The first completely new bass produced by Music Man after the "pre-EB" era?

One of the most popular 5 string basses on earth? Ubiquitous in every style and genre of music?

Of course!

If there is no 20th Anniversary SR5, I shall eat Heinz.

And sell DVDs in order to benefit charity.

We will all be waiting to see exactly what it is. But again, I would point some of you to the decaf coffee, eh?
