Recently had opportunity to try out a 20th Silo .... ooh la la![]()
Gotta say, it handled real nice. Good cleans - can do some fine vintage styling. I was running thru a HR Deluxe and Vibro King - not my normal set-up. and, imho with the right amp/pedals it should be right at home with high gain, low gain and all shades of gain in between.
Not so much experience with JP6 - last 'road-test' was over a year ago while I was waiting for my first ASS to arrive ... not quite my cup of tea, but like any EBMM it really stood out from the rest of the crowd.
happy shopping and ..... and beware of b.a.s.
B.A.S.???? Don't know what that means!
I have a JP6 and really like it alot but am thinking of getting a 20th Anniversay Silhouette. Can anyone compare the two and what is your preferred guitar?
IMHO two totally different guitars, the only similarity I think would be the 24fret Neck.
Good information on the 20th here. I bought mine new and it was never displayed or played at the dealer. It is still that way because I have not decided whether to keep it or sell it. It still has the original strings from 2006 when it shipped and it has never been played or plugged into an amp. Just sitting in it's 20th case full of desiccant bags that get changed routinely. I'll decide one of these days.
if you can find one!20th w/piezo!!!!! Any day...
if you can find one!
Considering there are only 39 ever made (26 RW and 13 maple), I'd say it's pretty hard to come by. But IF there's any chance that any surfaces, do what Dizzy did. He snapped it up immediately!
I still can't believe I got that one - what an axe - and it was up for grabs !!
I guess everyone was cashed out on BFR's ??
