I'm ordering a 20th SR5 from a Belgian dealer. We finally agreed on a price, so yesterday I told him to go ahead and order me an HH, maple fingerboard and matching hs.

Today though he tells me that choice of fingerboard and matching hs are NOT an option on the 20th SR5  I was simply shocked  and very confused

I'm sure I remember reading on the board that the 20th SR5 comes in all pickup combos, fingerboard in either rosewood or maple, and the pics Dargin posted at the end of last year show that matching headstock is definitely an option.

Can someone from Customer Support please confirm this, so that I can tell my dealer that he's wrong.

I'm not in Customer Service, but I do know of these pictures:

Look! Multiple pickups and a matching headstock!

And, there's a maple fretboard.

So, yeah. He's wrong. Hopefully, someone from CS will let you know what build code to tell him so he doesn't have to believe you, or Beth, International Sales Guru, will set them straight.

there is a choice

Thanx for confirming, BP and everybody else. That makes me a very happy man :D

The exact build code for a 20th SR5 HH maple fingerboard and matching h/s would indeed come in very handy. If anyone could give me the code, I'd be very gratefull. It would be easier to persuade the dealer that he's wrong, I think.

And if he still doesn't believe me, I'll tell him to give Beth a call. :)

I'm torn. If I get the maple board (which I will) I don't know whether to get a matching headstock or leave it uncovered like the single H maple picture above.

I can barely play a 5 string but this bass is so beautiful and Ed Friedland showed how versatile it can be that I must possess one. :D

Ill tell you how it turns out...you will have the coolest 5 string weve made to date

LOL, that line simply put a HHUUUGGGEEE grin on my face (I even think it would've made Ritchie jealous :D ), and that was just what the doctor ordered, after the confusion and slight touch of panic I had today :)

I'm so in love with that single H SR5 20th above, I created some desktop wallpaper so I can drool over it every day! Hope you folks at EBMM don't mind.

Success!!!! One happy camper!

Hallellujah, after a little divine intervention by BP and Dargin, it seems they saw the light! I got my baby ordered just the way I want her :D Thanks again guys!

So I now have my very first EBMM bass in the pipeline. All I can do now is patiently play the waiting game. They couldn't give me a estimated delivery period, so I'm guessing 6-8 months... A decent wait, but hey, it'll be soooo worth it :)

It would be cool if I could somehow find out how many of these 20th SR5's are shipped into Belgium. I really can't imagine it'd be a high number... Just imagine, how cool would it be if I could claim that mine was actually the only one in the country
