What if i met the UK maniacs somewhere, and we drove down to belgium, and had an euroean bass bash:D everyone brings basses, lots of basses, and we drink ketel1 and wear cowboy hats, and shave ut eye brows:p

That would be cool, but only if I'm allowed to drink Leffe Blond. We could meet in Amsterdam, as that is where my ferry would dock.

For my honeymoon, we're going to Belgium, Amsterdam, and Paris....

I did that on my honeymoon in '98 (plus Venice, Frankfurt, Munich & London). Enoy it, and try to speak at least a little French if you go to Paris. Otherwise only the people who want your money will speak to you. :)

When you get to Amsterdam, get yourself some cold refreshing Oranjeboom. Possibly the best ale/beer I have ever tasted. The Leffe Blonde certainly isn't a slouch either, but something about the Oranjeboom was almost magical somehow. Great stuff. :)

Hallellujah, after a little divine intervention by BP and Dargin, it seems they saw the light! I got my baby ordered just the way I want her :D Thanks again guys!

So I now have my very first EBMM bass in the pipeline. All I can do now is patiently play the waiting game. They couldn't give me a estimated delivery period, so I'm guessing 6-8 months... A decent wait, but hey, it'll be soooo worth it :)

It would be cool if I could somehow find out how many of these 20th SR5's are shipped into Belgium. I really can't imagine it'd be a high number... Just imagine, how cool would it be if I could claim that mine was actually the only one in the country

Congrats, Im happy you ordered , now I'm not '' last '' on the waiting list anymore , lol

:D

UK nutter here!

I have to pooh pooh the beer talk and bring up Gulden Draak... oh god oh god

Lets meet up in San Luis CA and robot dance naked (with bongo*'s for modesty) until we're all taken into a care and fed scotch and funk sandwhiches

*insert your EBMM beast here

ok... now to sneak onto a boat dressed as a ship's funnel

Hit me? You owe us each the 5 seconds we gave a crap about what color your damn bass was going to be. All that time wasted for you to change it to plain old BLACK. Sounds like someone in the ATL needs a Bongo up the head. :p:rolleyes:

Hell, I'm in Atlanta. I can hit him upside the head here, and then drive to Indiana to hit you. I have no qualms hitting both of ya.

Noooow you're talking and starting to make some sence :) Here in Belgium we got a lot of beers (much) better than Leffe. And I'm sorry if I insult anyone with this (don't take it personally) but as far as I go, the less said about Oranjeboom (wich is a Dutch beer) the better...

When you're talking Gulden Draak, you're beginning to go the connaisseur's way!! Have you ever tried a Westvleteren, or an Orval, or a Chimay Grand Reservé...?

If you guys are interested in Belgian beers, you should go to a library and check out 'The Beer Hunter' by Michael Jackson (no, not the singer :p) It's a Bible of sorts on Belgian Beer. Michael Jackson is a UK beer-lover who set out to make a tour of Europe, trying all beers and writing a book about that trip. Problem was, he hit Belgium, and he never got out :) There are just too many delicious beers here :p

But anyway... wasn't this thread about my bass :p ? We seem to have gone from a 20th SR5 to eyebrow-burning to beer in 3 pages  Well, only on this board... :D

I like beer a lot. But if Michael Jackson didn't get out of Belgium over trying the beer there I will pass :D

went to the local dealer today, he told me what the thing could cost.

Man that is freaking crazy. How much does it cost in the US?

I'd say that his price is not at all out of line.

PM Pete Dubaldo for a US quote and you'll see that your dealer is not wacko.

I find it comforting that everyone has respect for Señor Dubaldo. Especially considering I want an '07 LE Sterling HS maple matching headstock and a 20th anniversary SR5 HS maple (matching headstock? still up for grabs) and Casa DuBaldo is roughly a 10 minute drive from my house. :D
