Thanks - where in Australia do you live? I was out in Sydney and Melbourne a little while ago. By the way, VIVA Wolfmother. I saw those guys play in a small club at SXSW in March this year and was blown away. Zeppelin, Sabbath, and Yes all mixed together... it's about time a band like them came along...

I'm in Brisbane along with a few other formites. If any forum member decides to visit Brisbane let us know and we'll get together a show you around. Btw I have seen Wolfmother and my initial thoughts where Black Sabbath meets Iron Butterfly.

I really want to buy it...

I walked into my local dealer today, and there was a 20th Silo (rosewood, trem, matching head) hanging on the wall. I was surprised because a month or so back, he said that he hadn't any on order.

I took it down and played it. WOW! Tone! Comfort! Sweetness!

I'm all set to click the BUY IT NOW (I'd get the one from my dealer, but I'd rather have a hardtail), but the wife shot me down.

(I normally wear the pants in the family. Honest! :D )

Arin clearly has major backing here - new guitar, a raise... I think I need to give myself a raise as I'm really considering adding that 20th Anniversary to the collection. I've started the negotiations with the REAL BOSS at home. As you all probably know, getting your wife to agree to add another guitar and associated paraphernalia is not an easy task!

Thanks again for the warm welcome. Arin is a great guy and has some "monster chops!" I know this for a fact because he spends more time playing guitar at work than in front of his computer... raise, wha?

Looking forward to spending more time on the forum...

you should really expediate the negitiations jeff... there were, i beleive, less than 400 of these made. once they're gone, they're gone.

What he said.

Worst case, you can always sell it if you need to get rid of it for the boss. But it'll be tough to find one later when they're all gone.

OK - so I just gave in and purchased the guitar from one of Arin's pals. It arrives in a few days and I'm pumped to put it to use. I swapped out the nines for some tens... should be great!
