I bought my first guitar in 1970 - a Watkins (WEM) Rapier 44 which had a 24 inch scale length.
I recently got (for nostalgia reasons) a similar guitar and I enjoy playing it.
Now unfortunately EM MM doesn't produce a 24 inch scale guitar - but just as a matter of interest how many people here would buy one if they did? (assuming that it had your pickup requirements).
Just wondering????

I don't know about 24 inch, but I would pay a whole lot of money for a 24 3/4 scale Reflex.

I had a Brian May guitar with a 24" scale and it was a little tight after playing 25.5" scale guitars for years. The strings were just too bendy!
Interesting Tim, I didn't know the BM had a 24" Neck?

Yes they are bendy - but hey, a possible solution would be to use much heavier gauge strings - and they'd still be relatively bendy lol

Spud - Dr. May's original has a 24" scale so all the replicas do as well. That being said the neck on the original Red Special was a log - really thick in depth. I was able to play a few of the Guild versions that were out in the 1990s - it's very different from playing say a Fender Mustand or Jaguar; even with the short scale it was a lot of neck to wrap your hands around. I haven't stumbled across any of the current imported replicas so I don't know what the current ones are like.

Yup I see that the armada is 24.75. I'm looking at 24 dead - although I'd love to try an Armada.

Don't really want to discuss other guitars, but all I would say is that the BM guitar doesn't float my boat.

Oh well, I'll stick with my rapier for now.

I had a Burns and one of the newer BHM guitars. They all have big necks and 24" scale. Now back to the EBMM discussion!
