With the new JP pups, and even the more recent D-SOnic pups in the bridge, its hard for any EBMM guitar to beat the JP when it comes to serious crunch and smokin' sonic leads.

The pups are so hot in fact, I'm considering swapping out my pups for something with less output.

They are hot!

Oh, one more thing: Anyone here tried out the new petrucci pickups (Liquifire, crunch lab) in a bfr yet? Worth upgrading?
Ari

What BFR JP did you order? If you ordered a new one (not store stock) your BFR will be coming stock with the Crunchlab & Liquifire in it.

It is worth upgrading for the names alone . . . . .

Actually I love the Steve's Special, the old Petrucci JP6 pup.

Awesome, you'll have to post some pics when you get it. I think it would be worth swapping em' out. In the case that if you swap em' out and don't like em', I'm sure you'd have no problem selling them.
