Hey people - long time no see and all that, just catching up (and if DMullen wants a white Machinehead wet t-shirt for his other half I am sure I can provide :))

Anyway after NAMM in Jan I wrote a post - saved it to my Mac and never posted. So here it is.......

Hey Guys,

Just got back from the NAMM show - recovering from the dreaded jetlag, but I realised I really hadnt been on here enough recently.

Just thought I'd give you all my take on the 25th. First of all being my size (havent followed Sterling and trimmed down - seems to be going the other way.....) the increased body size suits me. The instrument is very light thanks to the chambering, but here is the deal. It sustains and resonates forever......

I was playing it unplugged and just strummed an open D chord - you could feel the notes through the fingers of your left hand.

I also got to plug it into an ENGL Steve Morse amp on the stand (Janine jokingly asked me what I was doing with her husbands amp! - she is a lovely lady). You know if a guitar feels and sounds that good acoustically then it really wont disappoint when plugged in. The switching is so versatile and the sounds incredible. The EBMM boys have done it again.

Managed a quick chat with BP - he seemed delighted that I had picked up on the liveliness and resonance of the guitar - apparently that was exactly what they were trying to achieve.

Mission accomplished I say.

Dave Thanks so much...I hope that the public picks up on this guitar.....I think that the 20th was a nearly impossible act to follow and believe that we have made our best guitar to date......

Stick around! give us some retail stories!

Dave if you're supplying the gear for the UK bash this year, bring your order book and a 25th please....

I've been banned from buying anything over £150 before then so I'll have some lost time to make up!!

Hey Dave,
Good to hear from you again. I'd love to check out a 25th, but it wouldn't be the first EB I'd buy sight unseen and know I'd be blown away.

fred
