For anyone looking for a 25th, I had to go to Union Square in NYC today for work so I stopped in at the 14th Street GC for a quick look.

They had FIVE 25th's hanging in the center of the store
1 Quilt with rosewood and trem
4 Flames - 1 maple trem, 1 maple fixed, 1 rosewood trem and 1 rosewood fixed.

For the Bass Guys, there were at least SEVEN 25th basses in various configurations (sorry, don't remember them all). I asked about a Big Al but the guy said they had one that was in and out in no time.

I think they're now making their way to GC's all over. I've seen at least one in all the bigger GC's I've gone into lately. Great to see!

It's kinda funny in a way - once you see them at GC you "don't want someone to buy them." I'd rather GC "frame" them and leave them there permanently to see ( like the Hall of Fame!)

I know, that's just the "opposite" of what should be expected!! So, I don't feel too bad when I go in to a GC and NOT see any, I'm just hoping it's for the right reason. If not, GC get with it - order MM guitars!!!:)

Slightly off topic; GC has really stepped up to the plate. The one in Totawa NJ actually has a left handed JP 7 string for sale. That's unheard of a few years ago. Usually, it's the 2 bottom feeding Iba**z's or Epiph**es. As a matter of fact, I see more Music Man guitars now than ever before.

Good job GC.

We need people to buy those...its like the 20th all over again...future cult classic....I was hoping for a home run it really is that good

BP, a respectful question. Have you considered offering these with P90's and perhaps also an H/S/S configuration? This is an intriguing guitar, and has some great sounding clips backing it up.

Speaking for myself, I do own a couple of HB guitars, but may never buy another one - I prefer the harmonic complexity of single coils - my Axis SS with P90's is just a great all-round guitar.

I appreciate that configuration options opens up issues of dealer ordering, stocking, etc.

Me three on that one; an MM-90 Reflex would be intersting to me but I suspect that voicing the chambering for MM-90s might be problematic - requiring a lot of R&D investment to adjust (or maybe completely change) the chambering for the best "fit".

Also that one-off Koa 25th BP got last week would make a great Reflex BFR model going forward.

I remember walking in and seeing that left JP7, assuming u meant that pearl white one? Have to agree the Totowa, NJ GC has been bone dry of MM guitars (not including basses) except for maybe a graphite pearl Luke that has been around a while. Thankfully they have had a 25th around and will hopefully get some more within the future :)

Im completely envious of the GC on 14th street in NY.

Sorry Ill stop the hijack ;)

I placed my order for a 25th guitar last month and I have to say- it's the guitar I've been waiting for for the 11 years I've been making guitars at Music Man. In my opinion, it is truly the most incredible looking, sounding and playing guitar we've come up with to date.

I highly recommend you at least take one for a test drive at your local music store. You may not be able to put it down...
