I have been playing my 30th SR 4 alot lately, and it is showing a bit of wear. I have found a smoking deal on a brand new one, and am kind of thinking of getting it to put away for later, and also because my current one was so pretty when I first got it .

Does this seem like a dumb idea? I've sold a few of my other SR4s, just because I like the 30th SO much more, and the variety of my arsenal of basses is still more than any sane person would need.

I think that a 2nd 30th SR is a very good idea. It's good to have a "back-up". Especially when it's a favorite. DO IT!!!!!!;)

Not to discourage a sale for BP, but I like 'em with some wear on them. The more worn my bass is, the more it mirrors my life and all the things I (we) have been through.

But that's just me. :)

Ok. Got it. Unfortunately it is lighter and plays a little better than the one I already had. Maybe I'll take the old one in for a set-up...

yeah do it.... why the hell not... and if you ever need to sell one of them... i dont think you would have a problem. ive played one of those things at jacks and WOW. so i can be on the used 30th vulture list ha ha

I don't know if there are some NOS ones where you are--wherever that is, but there are a some at the various Guitar Centers near me and some online. If I can't get one of those by the time I'm ready, I'm going to be hunting used 30th SRs too.

BTW, very cute avatar, tiffles.
