OK...thats exactly what I was looking for except in candy apple red and non matching headstock. What type of top is that?

it's a quilted maple top....it looks really figured from certian angles, and from some angles, it's very subtle.
I lucked out with both of these...and they play and sound incredible!!!
check out the recording thread to hear the orange one...i haven't recorded with the red one yet!

hey thats a beautiful guitar, I also have an Axis coming next week... it's a trans gold from 1998 and I can't wait... got it at a good price and it's my second ball... I have become a man...haha... I'll post some pics when I get it...

So on your neck plate on the back of the guitar it judt says Ernie Ball Music man and thats it?........wowsers if thats all it says then you got some SICK tops there bro i thought for sure they were both the $500.00 upgrade tops

Hey Lenny check out top on mine, this wasn't an upgrade either.
An axis is an upgrade from every other guitar though
