Well Done...now, I will be the second to say it! TORT THAT BASS!

Also, that flea bridge looks phat! :)

+2...

My 75 J is natural ash and the first thing I did was tort it, so I thought it only fitting that this bass should receive the same treatment.

What is the best source for a replacement TORT pickguard, EBMM or a third party?

Cheers

GOOD MAN Andy, you lucky sod, that looks fantastic. They're likes buses aren't they? You wait ages for one, and two come at once!!

LOL I agree entirely Russ :D

I wasn't expecting something to turn up locally in such great condition either. I'm actually feeling quite spoilt/selfish.

I seriously hope this one lives up to the standard that the 30th anniversary model has set - I can't put it down. Amazing instrument!

How's your SR4 going?

How's your SR4 going?

Mines wicked mate, my number one bass now. I'm still not sure about strings yet, it's got Super Slinkys on it now, but they're still a bit bright, I'm hoping they'll go off in a while and lose some top end. I'm still thinking about some TI flats for it, but I'll stick with the slinkys for now.

Otherwise I love it to death, and I can't fault it at all, the build quality is top notch, and it just feels like it was made for me, so comfortable, best bass I've had in a long time, and a great partner for the jazz.

Congratulations, and damn you! I'm jealous. This will be my next one, but it's gonna be a while...

Wow, that SR5 is a looker - is that a standard production model or a limited edition?

Cheers

Andy, that's directly from the "build an instrument" feature on the site. SR5, black, black pg, fretless lined w/ matching headstock.. I don't own it, yet!

I do have the exact same bass in Honeyburst, and it is gorgeous. Once I whittle away at the credit card I used to pay for Honeyburst, I can order this one.
