That looks good Dargin. I think it will meet the needs of folks who want Music Man build quality but prefer a different vibe.

Shoot drop the front pup and the bass world will finally have a viable J bass alternative!

Looks like BP and the crew are going to out do themselves, again!

This is going to be another must have EBMM instrument.

Let's hope it's better than the last 3 pickup bass .....

Wow, that really looks like a gibson grabber/ripper.
It's really a Music Man?

Actually, the pic I posted is a G3, not a Ripper or Grabber. The Rippers had the dual soapbars and the Grabbers had the sliding humbucker.

You guys are making it harder every time to pick a new bass hehe.
3 PU's AND 18 volt circuit?

But I WILL check out a Bongo first! Yes I will!

It's pretty hard to imagine ANY MusicMan bass without the big humbucker at the bridge position, though.

It is kinda hard for me to imagine a MM bass without that big humbucker sitting near the bridge. Then again you can't let tradition hold you back from progress. Will be very interested in hearing what these sound like. JOSH

I´m absolutely no bass-expert, but found this pic:

i think that 3 single coil bass could be cool too.

i like the albert lee body shape. kind of 50s decco looking. the colors should be all like that. (shell pink and blue, etc...solid colors) maybe matching headstocks. not the hot hairspray pick like the old proto.

it would be neato to sort of approach this bass like a 50s 60s guitar look with 4 or 5 way strat style pick up switch and center pickup reverse wound. maybe passive just a V/T/T. white, mother of pearl or tort pickguards jazzmaster shape. it would a radical departure in high end vintage looking stuff.

you could have the positions:

1. bridge only
2. bridge/middle (out of phase) no hum
3. bride and neck (classic j-bass) parrellel
4. neck only
