Another question to my new friends.

I tuned my Stingray DAEB using a 5 string set. I know that my choice it is not exactly the best way to keep my bass in a perfect way. Please if anybody can tell me some tips to keep it alive and healthy I'll be a little less worried about it.

Thahk you again.

It should be ok tuned that way, just try to have a lighter gauge B string on like a .125 instead of a .130 but your bass should hold up fine to being strung that way.

ciao!

You can tune that way with the regular strings so why bother? That's what I'm doin untill I can get a five-string. I am certainly not worried about the LOWER tention.

I used to have a 6 strings Warwick, but I always wanted a 4 strings MM. So I don't want to get a 5 string axe.
So thank you guys for the info.

Its cool to know that my bass will be healthy

Still string it with a 5 string set minus the G. A proper B string will sound better and feel better than an E string tuned to B.

viva las 4!! (????) ;) :D

I'm Canadian so my Spanish is VERY bad!:D

I'll bet yer ebonics is a little lacking, as well.:D

He lives in Vancouver, so I am tempted to make jokes asking whether he knows Chinese. But then he could retort that I don't even know english because I am from Alberta, so I'll hold my tongue. :D

Jest ribbing, us in the south don't even 'talk right' in the first place. We make up for that wit musical notes.

Yous guys... first of all, I was born and raised in Sweet Home Alberta (the Texas of Canada) and yes, all y'all in the South are weird, I've done some playing down in Georgia and Tennessee .... great sweet tea though ! :D :D

You should try the BBQ. Git it all over ya. Black southern soul too, rub it in like a dry-rub!
Tell the Ducks and Fred Eaglesmith Ebb sez hi.
