Bullshark... if you can do without the HS, Bass Central has a Cherryburst H Sterling 5. Also, The Perfect Bass - bass guitars, amps and accessories for every player! has a HS VINTAGE Sunburst Sterling 5. Both good options in my opinion if you are not willing to wait for a custom order. JOSH

Unfortunately the US exchange rate on our dollar is low again now.

I was looking at some pictures of the Cherryburst and I think I like it even better than Black Cherryburst. It's really nice. You could definitely do a lot worse (like a certain Olive something-or-other ).

Went to buy a Sterling 5 today; of course they didn't have the color I wanted, so I asked to order it. The salesman told me 5, as in five, months waiting time for order?!??!

I mean, come on, MusicMan are good basses, but we're not talking custom made by luthier here... Was he pulling my leg in order to sell me what he had in stock?

Furthermore, he told me that the price was not warrantied. Like, it could cost me $2000.00 or it could cost me $2500.00 if MusicMan raised their prices in between now and five months from now?

Too Me or anyone wanting a KILLER Bass, 5 months is nothing for an Ernie Ball Music man bass, Trust me you'd be very happy either way , but it looks like you did a great score anyway. As you know you've just purchased the best bass on the Market, enjoy.

I love my Sterling 5 and it is my main bass right now. I am very fortunate to have one of each flavor (Sterling 5, SR5, Bongo 5) and you can't go wrong with any of them.

That looks great! Very similar to my SR5 in honeyburst with a black pickguard.

Thats a nice looking bass. I have ordered 2 basses from the factory so far.
My first one they quoted me about 2 to 3 months and and i got it in about 3 months but it was a pretty standard bass (Stingray single humbucker black). My other stingray Im currently waiting to recieve it. I ordered it around the first of september. They are well worth the wait though
