This may have been asked already but I've not been able to find it by searching. My apologies in advance if I've overlooked it.

I understand that the difference between the Stingray and Sterling 4-bangers if primary about body size and neck shape/size. I am curious about the differences in the 5-string variants.

I've been looking at (okay, drooling over) the 2008 LTD Sterling in the H/S configuration as a complement to my Bongo but I've yet to be able to find one to play. Plenty of 5-string Rays in this neck of the woods but no Sterlings.

Can anyone share thoughts about the differences (Tone/Feel/etc.) between the 5-string Stingray and Sterling?

Thanks in advance!

I LOVE my Sterling 5 HS. It's light, the neck feels great, and the tone is amazing. I once had a Stingray 5 H, but I've started to prefer the dual single coil sound option with the HS on the Sterling 5. Sounds great live and when recording. The single H in the bridge gets some kick ass tone as well. I don't play with the other positions as much, but they all have their uses.
