I love the pet! The only thing I really would like to change would be a maple fret board. I got a scary feeling that if I start playing 7 string that the 6's would just get lonely(er). Then there is the thing about how some artists don't feel comfortable playing another artist's guitar. I don't even know why I said that.
BP once said no to the 6 string Bongo for all of the reasons that everyone mentioned in this thread but it's happening. I really like the 4+2 headstock on it too. But with it it seems that a lot of people expressed an interest in it and (most importantly) BP and crew wanted to do it.
What with over 56,457 (not counting BFR) choices for guitars from EBMM alone I know I'm doing ok.
Thank you for your comments and for letting me share.

The problem with the JP 7 strings is the price ...
In fact, my dream is a SUB 7 strings. The "industrial" look of the SUB + 7 strings + low price (well not so high ...) would be great.
Just an idea ...

I'd love to see another EBMM 7.

Infact, I created a thread about this very subject some while ago. Some different woods to the usual would be excellent, because the choice for 7 string players is rather limited, when you consider most of the guitars are either basswood or mahogany. An alder or swamp ash 7 with a maple fretboard would really be adding something unique to the market.

I'd buy that for a dollar! ;)
