Hallo everybody! it's the first time i write on this forum, so i 'd like to introduce myself first..Stingrays have always been my dream since i started playing when i was a kid. Now i can afford it i found a '79 stingray but i'm still missing a few bits and pieces to complete my project.
I found a few suggestions about the pre-amp, which i miss, on some previous threads. i still don't understand much about pots though.

If you have a look at the picture (i hope i made it to attach it..), i miss one pot and i'm not pretty sure these are the original ones...actually i have some doubts about the originality of the whole thing: could you please tell me something about it? If they're not original should i replace them? Are they difficult to find?
Thanks a lot!

Since someone wired it passive (volume/tone) they probably used 250k pots like a passive would have.

The proper pots are difficult to find, be it from a guitar shop or electronics shop. I have bought replacement volume pots before from EB, so you may want to contact their customer service to see of you can get all three.
Since you're missing the preamp and pots, some guy on ebarf has been trying to sell a complete preamp/pots setup, although pricey, but it may just be easier for you to do.
