A few weeks ago I bought a fretless SR5 on ebay. My second Music Man (First is a black SR 5 HH fretted) and it turned out to be quite a find.
From this site, I've learned it was finished in October, 1993 and shipped to Manny's Music, NYC. Alder body, a dark translucent red. Pau ferro fretboard and bird's eye maple neck and head. One darn beautiful instrument.
I've spent a bit of time and elbow grease cleaning it up. The only thing I've added is a new gloss black pickguard (thanks AJ!) - everything else is as it was when I got it...just cleaned up.
