Hello everyone,
I recently bought a Steve Morse model from 1996.
The Gotoh TOM Bridge is pretty used.
I'm looking for a good replacement. I think the Gotoh TOMs came with m4 studs.
Is it correct, that the newer models are equipped with bridges from tonepros?
Does any of you have a recommendation?

greetings from germany,
Ingo

That's right- the new ones (and the Y2D) have the Tonepros. (You can still find the original Gotohs if you look around though.) You can also just replace the saddles. Bit of a pain, but less expensive. At one point I put titanium ones on mine and they sounded great.

I ultimately replaced the bridge and posts on mine with a Callaham. But there are so many good ones out there.

That said ... if I were to do it again, I'd just go to the Tonepros. Sounds great and it locks in place, unlike the original.

The previous owner told me he had issues with getting a original toggle switch here in germany when the lever broke. So he replaced it with a black one.

I got a Gotoh bridge for replacement. So I was sure the studs will fit.
The new brige:

And here is a picture of the old one:

Unfortunately I have some sitar string ringing on the nut. I will have to investigate in that.

What's wrong with the old bridge ?

On my Morse, the bridge is quite similar (perhaps worst ???) but I have no problem with it.

Nice Morse! I like the black switch.

I've had a number of buzzes from my Morse over the years that have been tough to track down (I use grommets between the strings to dampen any unwanted vibrations behind the nut & bridge). The sitar sound is obviously a big issue - hopefully it's just the nut that needs a light file.
