I didn't think OC would post something like that, or anyone from this forum, if they did they should get banned from this forum.

Hammer/mullet and guitar should not be in the same sentence.

Thanks for the enlightening info too, l look forward to more. hehe.

Scott.

First off, I have 9's on one of my Pets. No problem, since I am a techie idiot, I took it to a pro before I got to chattin' with my bro OC!

Next, yes, a certain individual did say use a mallet to straighten a neck. Dude even drew up pics on how to do it. I was there and will attest to OC and Pete's claim! Dude actually said to use a mallet!

Now, let's leave the BS on the JP forum. Unfortunately, that place has become infected with people who are narrow minded and short sighted. I refuse to post there since the "kiddies" want to do a flame war. Bros, I have been to war and don't need some teenager/young adult trying to provoke me.....I just refuse to interact with them. Simply put. I did post recently to sell my JP-7 and that is all.

OC and Pete have repeatedly posted useful information there to no avail. My suggestion if they have not done it yet, quit posting there. Pete, I know you have a business, so, I can understand hanging out there.

Next and the best part. OUR forum is not only self policing, but very respectful of each other. That is how it should be and I am sure will stay. We have weeded out the undesirables due to they're "I am always right" mentality. I find that EBMM owners/forumites tend to be more "mature" in our postings to each other. That is why I stay here. There are no egos here, and that makes this place more enjoyable. I am sure it will stay that way and if not, I will go on my way. Until then......I will enjoy my addiction and enjoy the many convos with you peeps.

So, let the dude on the JP forum flounder if he does not heed the advice of our resident pros.....it is his guitar. Let him destroy it and learn a lesson if he choose to ignore those with more knowledge. I, personally, have followed many of OC's and Kbaim's advice. That has only made me a better player and wanna be techie...hheheheheh....

My soap box has fallen, and I can't stand up! Over and out.

I've never been one to postwhore, so my post frequency on all the boards I regularly visit is about the same. If the topic heading/author have no meaning to me, I tend to ignore them. I also usually filter out all the posts that are just gibberish, unless I am in a joking around mood. Certain forums get more out of me than others, and genuine questions will always get a genuine response from me, provided I know the answer. That being said, I have the (dis?)pleasure of moderating a local cruise/street scene forum which just shatters a lot of my post wants.....things regularly get out of hand on there .......

I agree, if people don't want to take sound advice from people who know what they are talking about, then that's up to them. But flaming them afterwoulds just doesn't agree with me.

I have to go see my guitar tech and tell him this mullet/guitar neck story, it's probably piss him off but he will also find it funny. And this dude drawing up a diagram on how to do it. lmao.

You've got to be kidding me right?????? Did someone actually do this to their neck on their guitar???????

Why don't these kids take their guitars to techs, that's what l do, if l have a problem l can't solve, if you can't fix it, you have no business trying, you'll do more damage than good. That's no shot at you OrangeChannel, just making a statement.

No offense taken Scott....if you notice I used quotes and the word verbatim tho'...heheh. Good times.

I do most of my own stuff when time permits and I'm METICULOUS when it comes to setting up floating trems. I need level or my style ain't happenin'....and I've been doing that since I was 11, I'm 28 now...

Good stuff, maybe this guy should just do what l got done, just choc up the bridge, so it's not floating, so then when he put 9's on, all he had to do was adjust the truss rod, if needed, anyway this guy sounds like a complete d!ck, Pete has sent me some emails of what he went through with the guy, and has given me the low down on him. I'm just gonna stay clear of him when/if l go to JP forum.

Thanks to Pete

Just wanted to thank Pete for responding to my question about the sequence of adjustments when changing string gauge. Much appreciated, Pete!

As soon as I burn up the 10's that I bought for my JP, I will convert it to 9's. I think I've got 3 more packs of Regular Slinky's to go..
