i just need to get this out of my chest. i sat all day long with people at home waiting for my brand new Y2D. at 12 oclock they update the tracking info with: THE RECEIVER WAS UNAVAILABLE TO SIGN ON THE 1ST DELIVERY ATTEMPT. A 2ND DELIVERY ATTEMPT WILL BE MADE. meaning, i wasnt home. nor were the 4 others which kept me company. nor was i seating facing the Big front window next to the front door. i called UPS, because i thought it had something to do with the half closed street. the lady asked if i didnt get a yellow card or something. no mam, he WASN'T here. she asked me for my phone number so the local boss could call me. didnt happen. called again one hour later. no call back. same thing one hour later.
had to go to work but my girlfriend stayed home. around 4 in the afternoon the street is opened and they call UPS again, to let them know that if the courier returns after his done his round, no detour will be required. and everyone is still waiting. around this time they say the package will be delivered today (friday). at five clock, five thirty, same thing.

17:48 IMPORT SCAN - the SEA OH SEA KAY muncher skipped one or more deliveries to go home early for the weekend. he got out before 7 in the morning and that wasnt enough time to deliver a bus worth of goods. and if you tell me "sorry, we had to much to deliver and yours was one of those who got cut" i get. wont like it, but i get it. but doing something like this in not acceptable from the company people expect to be the standard in parcel delivery...

monday im gonna go postal on UPS.

edit: had to edit myself cuz even the mods are lazy...

ive had UPS people come up to the door and not even knock and ive seen them walking down the path . Ive then had to shout at them to get their attention and they say oh didnt think anyone was in, hmm have you tried knocking?
had another time were they have delivered next door and havent left a card. plus just not delivering and no card, so i have to run around like a blue arsed fly trying to find where stuff is.
however the last couple of times have been good so i guess it is down to the individual who is delivering, some are good , some bad, like in most things.

Ha, that's a laugh. They maybe used to be some sort of standard, but not anymore. Their tracking system is a joke. And their union employees sometimes leave alot to be desired. And my son-in-law works for them so I have to be careful what I say outloud.

I tell ya though, Murphy's law seems to crop up from time to time. If it's something you want badly, and have been waiting for it for what seems like forever, and then you stress out all day about it..... well....it's Murphys Law. If anything can go wrong it will.

I agree you should make a complaint. But if it were me I'd keep calm about it, and try to get the ear of the local station manager to express your dissatisfaction with the way your shipments delivery has been handled.

Sometimes it feels like they have you bent over grabbin your ankles and handing them the jelly. Hope you get your shipment soon and get some satisfaction.

I know how you're feelin' Dante...

I had a similar deal with a guitar case I bought off of ebay. Runnin all over the countryside to track it down...sheesh...Although, mine wasn't quite as bad as yours (we're talking a guitar here)...

It's not right I tell ya...a man shouldn't have to chase down UPS for his balls!

Its funny because there is so much about NJ I cant stomach anymore but UPS is not one of those things.

Ive always gotten my items on time and delivered in great shape. I find UPS guys here to be amongst the most professional and politest and nicest guys to deal with...I do think their shipping prices are ridiculous but why should they be any different from any other business here?

Guys,
Been there too, and I share you pain.

In my little corner they farm out deliveiries beyond a certain point to "selected partners" or any a$$ with a van ! - and I get stuff left on my doorstep and in my bin and all sorts.

Courier companies should wake up and realise the value and personalisation of some of the stuff they're shipping.... but they don't

My best experiences have been with FEDEX - Chicago to my door in 5 days (including customs) and the delivery guy woke me up @ 6:45am - now that's service!

Online tracking seems to be a get out clause for some of these jokers, and check the T&C's they have an exception clause that basically lets them off the hook for delivery - (Weather, staff shortages, can't be bothered,) - you wouldn't get that in many other professions!

Burn 'em all!

I know somebody who works for City Link (a UK courier) and basically they mostly employ dis-interested agency drivers who don't care as long as they get paid for the day. Sad but true...

Hey, at least you got it bro. I know how you feel and it is frustrating when UPS or Fed Ex doesn't make it on time.

Hopefully, with the guitar in hand, it will ease the frustration.

Pics...or it doesn't exist.
