Well long time no post but i wanted to ask a question and yes i have searched the forum for an answer and i did see u dont like to release the specific numbers of instuments produced each yr etc.
My Question is i purchased my baby Jp6 Pearl Red Burst stock no piezo or matching headstock or inlays 2006 model and i was wondering if i can find out how many Of these models were officially shipped to australia by ernieball just out of curiosity sorry if i am being a pain.

With Thanks Jamie

Jamie, that sort of thing takes a lot of time to research, my guess is probably quite a few. And since that model and finish are still in production, it is likely to go up. It is the best selling finish on our best-selling guitar so it's not likely to be all that rare, even without the piezo, even in Australia. What David said sounds like a good suggestion.

Huge, sorry, that certainly wasn't the way I intended that post to be interpreted. I would never want any guitar that left this factory would be thought of as a dime-a-dozen guitar, never never! I am sorry that you took it that way.

It still amazes me that every guitar we make, every guitar that ships from this factory, is going to improve and enrich someone's life. That's what your John Petrucci has obviously done for you, and speaking for myself at least, I am deeply honored and humbled that you chose this guitar and this company to do that for you.

I will endeavor to find out how approximately many of those guitars have gone to the Island Continent. It may take a while though ... ;)

Come on dude, I can understand that it's your dream guitar, but what does it matter if there were 100 or 10,000 pieces made of it? As long as it makes YOU happy, it's all good, isn't it?

enjoy. i really don't think rarity makes a guitar so special even tho if few are made, what would you really get out of it? im happy with anything if it plays and sounds good ;) to buy my guitars i worked my back off too for the highest quality built guitars which is EB.

If anything, the production of many of these guitars is a testament to EB's amazing quality and the awesomeness of the JP. I love my JP6, it's the greatest guitar I've ever played, and you do too, so let's all go and play!

I was wondering pretty much the exact same thing about this model, as I have one (albeit fully loaded) as well. However mine was initially bought overseas, and it has the new pups which I am totally in love with and it is the best guitar I have ever played. I have now found my own test to see how guitars sound is to play open E and E chords and just let them ring on an unplugged guitar, and my JP sounds sweeter than any guitar I have ever heard.

I too love my JP guitars. They are the best instruments for me. I probably have the only left handed, sterling silver, BFR rosewood neck, JP guitar made, but I don't care if 4,000,000 were made, that doesn't make it more special to me. The point is I have it and I love it. It's all good dude.

OK - I did some digging and found that there were a little less than 20 - we are shy from giving exact numbers - JP's just like yours (Pearl Redburst sans piezo, matching headstock, and JP inlays) shipped to Australia through our distributor there, CMC Music, as of right now. There were a few more if you count ones with matching h/s and inlays but still no piezo.

(probably all of them are Rob's students! :D)
