To all the compliments: Thanks guys! I really appreciate the kind words! :cool:

@Colin

You can find my gear here: http://www.ernieball.com/forums/music-man-guitars/19443-show-me-amps-you-play-your-balls.html

It should be on the next to last page as of right now... I think.

Anyway, I use the clean channel of the Budda (I never have used the dist. channel live!) and I overdrive it by pulling up the channel volume, but keeping the master volume down. I then run the signal through a compressor. Keeping as much attack I can out of it, and making the cleaner sound as smooth as possible. Then I dial in my TS808 for my main distortion. It's great on the Budda. Best sound I have ever heard in person. Of course I add some delay on the effects loop, then for videos I add a little bit more compression and delay to make the recorded sound more like it does in person, cause the recordings by themselves always sound a little dry.

Hope that helps! And thanks!

can you still get a clean sound with using the clean channel that way?

@Colin

Yep. Just turn off the tubescreamer and roll your guitar volume down to like 5 or so. (At least my guitars.)

It's still really clean. I usually leave the Compressor going though. (I love compression. It just makes the guitar a much more sustainable instrument. :D

@leftyguitarblue
