Hello again fellow kindreds of the Order of the Low End. I've got a few questions, given rise by a tour through the fabulous photos in the Official Ball Family Reserve Picture Thread. So if anyone has this info, I'd appreciate it.

1> Is the single-piece quilted maple body/flamed maple neck Sterling in post #6 of that thread available/for sale somewhere?

2> According to the info on musiciansfriend.com, you can put in an order for a BFR Koa SR5, and it shows availability in "155 days". To me, that implies it'll be built upon receipt of the order. Is that correct? If so, I didn't know you could order one of these. I figured it was a limited run type of thing, and once they're gone, they're gone. If I can indeed order one, I'm going to. Those things are drop dead gorgeous.

Peace, Grace & Bass!

1. I don't believe that one is for sale. Whether it will be or not in the future is a big mystery.

2. The Koa SR5s are a limited run (from what I've read) so i'd snatch one up QUICK. :)

Thanks for the reply. The thing I'm still not clear on, is why the Koa SR5 shows up as "back-ordered, available in 155 days" on musiciansfriend.com. Must just mean EBMM just hasn't yet built all they plan to build/sell, right? I guess I was assuming the entire run was built already. Anyway, I'll drop by GC tomorrow & see what they know, but ... I'm not optimistic about that, for reasons I've seen mentioned all over this forum, about the level of knowledge of the GC sales dudes.

Thx again,
Robert

FYI, Musician's Friend operates seperately from GC even though they are owned by the same people.

It looks like they are gone. I can't seem to find them on MF's website.... and to think I only needed to save $2459 more to get one....

All instruments are built upon receipt of an order. EBMM does not stock pile instruments. There may be a window of oportunity to buy...but, they are all built upon order. Hope this helps.
