Will do, thanks. Are you the setup guy for EBMM, btw, or is there a crew? It seems like you handle a wide variety of players' instruments, from what I've read.

I am the repair tech. I do repairs and build up/set up all the artist instruments. I don't do production set up, although I did for 3 or 4 years. There are 4 people who do the production set ups.

Alright, I have it shipped out now via UPS Ground, and it should be there by the end of the week. :D I'm glad you'll be working on my guitar. It seems like it would be a very cool job to be the repair guy, and from everything I've heard you do quite some work! Norm seems beyond words with delight on his setup, for instance, and the members in general really praise what you do. So far, my experience with you has been outstanding. :)

You will not be disappointed in any means. I just can't come up with a good excuse to send my JP's back to Jon. Maybe one at a time.....maybe...... :(

Hey, Jon. Can you let me know when you're ready to get to my Petrucci? I can give you a call to discuss the details as you mentioned, whenever you're ready. I think it should have arrived by today. Thanks :D

Thanks for calling today, Jon! If I may, I remembered a few other things I'd noticed about the Petrucci that may be non-issues by now anyway. Firstly, I'd had a pretty constant fret buzz on the low E string which by my guess is just a matter of it being a little too low. The volume knob seemed to be a bit sticky recently, and the piezo swith almost looked like it had rust on it or as if something was worn away...maybe by perspiration from my hands? Oh...and this is not exactly related, but the case seems to be bent slightly at the end so it doesn't close evenly. I just thought I'd mention that as long as I'm reporting everything. Thanks for being so helpful and friendly so far! :p

Sorry to hijack the thread but I had to thank Jon for the work he did on my Petrucci 7-string (black). I have a luthier I used regularly in Colorado that I trusted working on my guitars. I recently moved to Utah and had a hard time finding a competant tech to work with. Sent my guitar to Jon and got it back today. I've had the guitar for over three years and it has never played better. Thanks again for the help!
